I'm Ben, a software engineer who's been writing code since 2009.

My experience spans application development, databases, infrastructure and DevOps, and I enjoy solving problems across different parts of a system.

I favour straightforward, maintainable solutions and sensible automation over unnecessary complexity.

Beyond the code.

I enjoy working with the systems around software just as much as the application itself - from infrastructure and deployment pipelines to automation and keeping things running reliably.
